The Sovereignty of Love

Like Adam and Eve, many people today have lost their confidence in their 'Internal Resource' and have forfeited there faith for the primitive trait of fear. Short-term fear can be beneficial however long-term fear is destructive and hinders benevolent love.

Introduction of Fear at Eden -Tricotomas

“With or without your approval, I love you. With or without your favours, I love you. With or without your friendship, I love you. With or without you, I love you.” -Tricotomas

This type of fear torments and brings unrest to your inner-being. Unfortunately fear has become a natural default setting for many. In the biblical story of the Garden of Eden, Adam and Eve lost confidence (a form of fear) with their Creator and uprooted their internal peace by surrendering to the temptation of the serpent. A seed of fear had been planted in their heart. The first couple erroneously concluded that they were somehow inadequate and that 'the tree of the knowledge of good and evil' would make them as wise as God.

People do not normally dabble into another system unless they feel the first is lacking. The serpent appealed to the couple's desires and not to their necessities. A necessity can look rather humdrum in relation to a desire. Our carnal side often craves for desires while our conscience is content with needs.

Adam and Eve disregarded the Creator's instruction by yielding to their desires. As a result of their action, long-term fear had displace faith. Without faith (anticipation of a beneficial outcome) there can't be true love. People imprisoned by fear must govern themselves accordingly through a conditional love and a conditional peace. Behaviour is controlled by the reward and punishment system. This method has the individual asking 'what do I stand to lose or win by my action?' You are kept in check by the proverbial carrot that dangles before you while the ravenous wolf nips at your heel. The system controls your action. While people who live in faith governs themselves lovingly with no conditions. They don't need any motivation to treat others with respect for their love is unconditional. With or without your approval, I love you. With or without favours, I love you. With or without your friendship, I love you. With or without you, I love you.

Love controls your action. Love is sacrificial, forever serving. If you serve fear, you're a prisoner and an oppressor. If you serve love you are sovereign and a friend.

NO.  10  You must earn love. False. True love is freely given.

NO.  9  Love grows. False. Love may increase in numbers but not in intensity towards a person. It is the affections and actions that grows. Love is neither of those attributes but is the cause of the effectual emotions.

NO. 8  Love comes in many flavours. False. Love is a moral standard. It should be the same across the board. It is love's entourage of affections that come in many colours.

NO. 7  Love fails. False. You are responsible for  the implementation of the moral standard. The standard of love is entirely executable. Giving is in your hand.

 

NO. 6  Love is limited to our inner-circle. False. True love is non-bias. It freely offers a gift of edification and forgiveness to everyone.

NO. 5  Love is physical. False. Again love is a deep inner-core value. It is a subconscious order. Physical contact is an effectual action caused by love. Love is the event and the rest is the result.

NO. 4  Love has fear. False. Fear threatens, true love does not. Love is an act of faith. Faith is an expectation of a beneficial outcome. True love does not torment.

NO. 3  Love gives and takes. False. Love is unselfish. It only gives. It does not wait for a return. If everyone worked within this parameter then everyone would be giving, consequently everyone would be receiving.

NO. 2  The bible has different types of love. False. There are many different words translated as love. But only the word 'Agape' refers to the real love. The other words are love's effect.

NO. 1.  Love is an emotion. False, false, and false. If you don't take any of the above items to heart then take this one only. Emotions are constantly changing moment to moment in reaction to a stimuli. They come and go like the wind. Unfortunately some people experience this type of false love. Love is intended to be steadfast.

Love is the cause or the event that propagates emotions and actions.

The Love-Front

I remember growing up how my mother dreaded thunderstorms. As the electrical tempest approached, my mother would instruct us to shut the windows, unplug all appliances (which included the television), and lite the holy candles for protection.

As flashes of lightning lit up the house, she would instinctively cover her ears for the inevitable sound of thunder. My loving mother would then stoop her head down as the tumultuous sound shook her being. My father on the other-hand was quite amused by the entire matter and would often mimic the sound of thunder – much to my mother's disapproval. Today my siblings and I have drawn from our parental quarks and we hold various views of storms.

It is interesting how people respond differently to a storm. We experience the same storm but hold a myriad of emotions, actions and preconceive ideas. I'm certain that you would agree with me that a storm is not an emotion nor is it an action. The storm is just one event that is experienced in various ways by people. It is a meteorological phenomenon able to summon many feelings. Which leads to the point of topic; love.

Love is not an emotion or an action. It is a state of well-being, a core value. This moral belief is your love-front. It will stir people's feelings, actions, and results. Although the cause (love) is the same from person to person, it will bring-forth an entourage of affections. Our love for everyone should be the same but its entourage of affections and actions will carry many shades. Love is an agreement of faith to honourably commit to the well-being and edification of every person without partiality and without limitations. Is your love-front capable of stirring many?

Faith is the Building Block of Life

I recently participated on a forum on faith. The question was posed;  What does it mean that the just shall live by faith?

I'm not going to deal with this question today but rather elaborate on its definition. It was interesting to note the different angles bloggers addressed when dealing with faith. Scriptures often interchanges the word faith with religion, belief, trust, and positive expectation. Not always beneficial to the readers. It could lead to confusion especially when we attempt to understand the state of faith. What I mean to say, can faith grow or does it dwell in a absolute state? Just like God's unconditional love, is faith unconditional? We can clearly see that trust and belief can be subjugated to growth but what about faith? Can faith increase or decrease? Before you answer make sure that the scripture that comes to mind is not referring to trust or belief. Because both of these do indeed fluctuate in stature. But what of faith?It is in my opinion that true faith is as limitless as Divine love.

Let me clarify one of the many misinterpreted passage in the bible regarding faith. Let's take for example Matthew 17:20, the infamous parable of the mustard seed.

'And Jesus said to them, cause of your unbelief: for truly I say to you, If you have faith as a grain of mustard seed, you shall say to this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible to you.'

Some versions has the words; faith as small as a mustard seed. Unfortunately the addition is incorrect. One will lose the beauty and the message of this parable if we were to add the word 'small as'. You see Jesus was attempting to capture several of the characteristics of a mustard seed. Mustard seeds can grow in almost any environment including a rocky area. Jesus the teacher, is explaining that if you have the tenacity or the persistency of a mustard seed you will push through the rocks and overcome. You will move mountains. It is not referring to having faith the size of a mustard seed but having faith like a mustard seed that thrives in any situation. Faith does not grow. You either have it or you don't.

Again I say don't confuse trust and belief for faith. Faith is the key component to love and love must be unconditional. Faith is what propagates the golden rule. But trust is rooted in self. Trust requires a certain amount of evidence prior in proceeding with a matter. Faith on the other-hand, pushes forward with a positive expectation regardless of the evidence at hand. I may resort to faith when trust is not available.

Faith expects positive and edifying results while long-term fear expects the opposite. It is faith that was lost in Eden because Adam and Eve displayed behaviour that were rooted in fear. However perfect love casts away fear. Faith leads to the door to love, peace and life. Faith is the building block of life. While fear opens the broad gates of hate, chaos, and death. To live in true faith is to live in love with the golden rule. We would edify everyone. Globally, we are not there yet. But one day WE WILL LIVE IN FAITH.

What is Trichotomy? The Animal in Us / Part 9

As promised, I will now examined each segment of the trichotomy with greater details. The first 'In" of the threefold is called Intuition. In my last blog I had listed numerous traits for every segment. Today, however I will focus on the right side of the table - the physical.

Survival / Self Preservation	Survival is limited to oneself or self-interest (kin)
5 Senses	See - hear -smell - taste - feel ( neurological-network) Instinctive
Pleasure / Pain Driven	Top and bottom - no in between. Safe or unsafe. Good or bad. Fight or flight.
Fear	Short-term fear (reacting and not contemplative) Primitive emotion - not a true emotion. All animals have this type of fear. However contemplative fear is another story.
Singularity	All about "ME"
Self-Reliant	Seek no assistance. Managing on their own
Independent	Tends to lead and　rebel
Personalize	Leaves his/her signature of life on everything. Everything must be about him. Ego-centric to perfectionism
Disassociates	Recluse / Hermit - seek no socialization.
Self-Serving	Serves one cause - himself.
Animal	Primitive creature

Without the mental or the spiritual, we are reduced to a primitive creature. We must be properly balance in the trichotomy but as humans we experience pitfalls from time to time. This does not negate responsibility of our actions.

What is Trichotomy? - Copies and Shadows / Part 3

The construction of the tabernacle was created to address men’s immorality by observing numerous ritualistic disciplines. It was an attempt to restore their relationship with God. But most people do not realize that the old were a copy and shadow of the things to come.

“What? Know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you and which ye have from God, and that ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's...” (1 Corinthians 6:19-20 KJV)

Furthermore the 1Temple High Priest served the copy and shadow of the heavenly things (Spiritual). The structure that housed God, along with its rituals that were experienced inside and outside the temple, were a mere shadow of what was to come. It was a pattern to indicate to us how to experience a personal relationship with Divinity inside your being. If one takes a closer look at the scriptures, the truth will unfold itself before our eyes - trichotomy of men abounds. Take a walk with me into the physical and spiritual temple. The first sign of trichotomy can be found in Genesis 2:7;
“Yahweh God formed man from the dust of the ground (first component), and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life (second component); and man became a living soul (third component).”
